Temporary Communications Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a temporary position designed to provide communication support to the ministries of the church during a 6 week absense of the current Communications Coordinator

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS 

Supervisors: Senior Pastor 
Supervisees:  N/A

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

  • Assist in creating the weekly bulletin.
  • Create and update weekly church email newsletter.
  • Create print pieces for ministry departments as needed.
  • Create and manage promotional graphics for services and other in house promotions.
  • Assist in keeping webiste up to date.
  • Other duties as assigned by Senior Pastor
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS 
  • Working knowledge and mastery of InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and other media software. 
  • Demonstrate a cooperative attitude and ability to provide creative input across ministry areas. 
  • Be a good steward with the resources God has provided to Columbus Avenue Baptist Church (Matthew 25:21).
  • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church (Colossians 3:23, 24).

SCHEDULE AND WORK WEEK

This is a part-time temporary position of 10-15 hours/week.  Scheduling done in consulation with Senior Pastor  
EVALUATION AND COMPENSATION
Compensation is paid hourly and will be assigned based on level of skill and availablity.
