Prayer Requests:

BUD MASSEY had a Parkinson’s Disease “episode" on Sunday in which Rita thought she had lost him, he became incoherent, experiencing tremors and unable to respond to anyone. He was taken to the ER and admitted to Hillcrest Baylor S&W for several tests. By Monday afternoon, the hospital had determined that Bud’s labs were normal and he was okay. The problems were with the Duopa machine which pumps the dopamine to Bud’s brain. Clogging of the machine causes the dopamine to not reach Bud’s brain fast enough and therefore his body is unable to control the symptoms of tremors, and all motor functions. As Waco S&W has no trained staff on the machine, Bud was dismissed from the hospital to rush to Temple S&W for care. Bud is now home, the new machine has been shipped to their home and Rita and Bud are trusting God, their refuge and strength, as He carries them through this journey. Rita requests that we pray for Bud’s ability to maintain a good quality of life and not suffer with pain on a daily basis. Rita is on a long term medical leave and is preparing for her retirement at this time. They appreciate the prayers and cards which encourage them both daily. They have been homebound now for several months and miss coming to church and the class.
