Easter Outreach: Mobilizing for Missions

This Easter, we are calling all Columbus Avenuers to mobilize for missions by gathering as SS groups, small groups and/or individual families to bless our community. As a church committed to mobilizing for the Mission of God, we will have different opportunities for whatever walk of life you are in: CRAWL (I can't go but I can give), WALK (I can participate with my small group for a specific missions endeavor), or RUN (I can go freely and share at any time).  Anyone can do it, young and old alike!

1) CRAWL: Care Net Baby Bottle Campaign

As we seek to celebrate new life in Jesus Christ, we also want to celebrate the sanctity of human life. We will do this over the next few weeks through the Baby Bottle Campaign to give life-affirming pregnancy support to families in need. Baby bottles will be available in the Sanctuary on Sunday morning, placed in Sunday School rooms, Main Office, Children's Building, and The Center to collect funds. There is also a QR code available for those who would like to give digitally. The collection of change, bills, checks, and digital giving as a special offering supports our local Care Net Pregnancy Center ministry. 

2) WALK: Welcome to Waco

We have created Welcome Boxes and a list of addresses for new residents that we want to bless and invite to Columbus Avenue. These are strategic areas within our city that Sunday school groups, small groups, and/or families can mobilize to bring. Our target weekend to adopt new Wacoans across our community will be on March 25th and 26th to gather as small groups, share the Welcome Boxes, and invite them to celebrate Holy Week here at Columbus Avenue. 

3) RUN: Bless My Neighborhood

• We have created Prayer Doorhangers for Easter and are calling all Columbus Avenuers to plan a route and pray over every house in your own neighborhood. We will have the Doorhangers available in both English and Spanish. Remember, anyone can do it, young and old alike

• Bless Every Home -As you pray, we also want to provide a great resource to help keep track of those you pray for/with. Blesseveryhome.com gives you the tools to become a Light for Christ in your neighborhood. The vision is that every home in Waco will be adopted by neighboring Christians who are committed to ministering to them through long-term, pray-care-share lifestyles.
