A Ministry for Foreign-Born Adults
Every Thursday morning from September through May internationals from different countries gather at Columbus Avenue to take classes on topics ranging from English and United States Citizenship to Sewing and Piano. This ministry is available to anyone who was born outside the United States.
We are pleased to announce that, after a break in our ministry for COVID-19 concerns, Neighbors International will begin meeting again on February 25, 2021. We will be observing standard precautions against the spread of COVID including a temperature check upon arrival, the mandatory wearing of masks, social distancing, providing hand sanitizers, and cleaning of all touch-surfaces between classes.
We would like feedback from all former and prospective participants in the Neighbors International program.
We meet Thursdays, 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall and then break out into classes on the 3rd & 4th floors of the church.
We will be offering limited courses for the Spring 2021 semester, as follows:
Communication Classes include:
- Computer - Keyboarding, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Graphics, and the Internet
- English - ESL, Conversational English
Creative Arts Classes include:
- Fabric Art - Crocheting & Knitting
- Scrapbooking
Classes meet every week from September through May. Class instruction is free. Two class periods are available each Thursday.
*Free infant and preschool childcare is available in the Children's building.
