Every Sunday, several of our Sunday school classes serve as a group to fill the volunteer positions happening each Sunday morning. Smaller groups will be paired so that everyone can participate. The group does not do Sunday School in their room on this day. They are doing ministry to their whole church outside their room.
We get one chance to make a great first impression and each of our volunteer spots is intentionally designed to make that positive impact. More importantly, Jesus demonstrated that serving one another is our way of loving one another. Loving others is the best thing we can do, especially when we gather.

• Worship Prayer time is usually self-directed. On occasion a known worship related prayer need may be shared with the group. Worship prayer is sometimes expressed through the reading of scripture in support of the worship activities, prayer for worship leaders, prayer for the gathered church and prayer which is praise and glory to God.

Responsibilities:
• You will be paired with a trained, experienced person in your room according to child/adult ratios. Your teammate will be able to offer instruction on any needs and the appropriate processes to meet our childcare responsibilities. Your role is to play, sing, hold, tell Bible stories and other fun things the kids love.
• ETC Preschool volunteers must have passed a background check every two years. If you have not had one, you will receive an email link a week or so prior to your Serve Sunday which you must follow to complete the online security check. If you do not complete the check or if you volunteer with short notice and do not have a check in our system already, you will be asked to serve in a different capacity on Serve Sunday.
• Every effort will be made to assign you to an age group you are most comfortable with. Sometimes lots of kids show up in a particular age range and extra help is needed there. • Teenagers may serve only in a room with their parent and are not considered an extra adult in determining ratios. Our child security guidelines do not permit immediate family members to be the only persons assigned to a classroom.

Arrive: Pick up a lanyard/badge in the Sunday School office on the 2nd floor (the same place to return the badge at the end of the day) and head inside the Children’s Building main entrance.
