THURSDAY Prayer Guide

“But you...pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for the faith; take hold of eternal life that you were called to and have made a good confession about in the presence of many witnesses.” 1 Timothy 6:11-12 HCSB

Justin Smith, Minister to College Students

  • Please pray this verse for Justin: “I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, appointing me to the ministry.”  1 Timothy 1:12 HCSB
  • We are praying for all the freshmen that will be coming to Waco in August. We have set a goal to meet and follow up with 1000 Freshman during the first week of classes, so please pray that God begins to appoint those meetings for us ahead of time. Also pray for our students who are around the world right now working, vacationing, and taking classes.

“…train yourself in godliness, for the training of the body has a limited benefit, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” 1 Timothy 4:7b-8 HCSB

Neighbors International Program

  • The Lord has sent us some new workers for Neighbors, but we still need help: one or two Fabric Arts teachers, English subs, registration workers, paid or volunteer child care, drivers and assistants (helping toddlers board), special events volunteers (a few times a year), photographer/photo bulletin board, sub for opening session (10 minute Bible lesson, announcements, prayer), other behind-the-scenes people.
  • It’s such a blessing to know these people from around the world and help them feel at home here. Another year, and we’ll be celebrating 50 years with International Neighbors!

Prayer with the Pastor

  • Join Pastor Josh and others as we gather together at Noon in the Chapel (note change of location) to pray for our church, our city, our neighbors and our nation.
  • Come for the whole hour or even part of the time to be an intercessor!
  • Let’s be in prayer for God to begin preparing our church and each of us as individuals for revival!
  • In Isaiah 56:7b, God promises to “give them joy in my house of prayer.” Let’s make CABC a house of prayer!

Senior Adult Committee, Harry Lampert, Chairman

  •   We are thankful for the fun and good food we shared on our recent trip to the Dead Fish Grill on Lake Belton. We had 23 make the trip which offered us a great time to visit and have fellowship with our senior community.

  • Please keep our committee in your prayers as it continues to work on the schedule of events for the 2018-19 fiscal year. We are seeking God's guidance and wisdom as we strive to provide programs and events that will offer our senior community opportunities for worship and praise to our Lord and Savior.

  •   Please continue to pray for Pat Hensley as she continues to struggle with major health issues.  We also want to add Paula Hayward to our request for prayer as she also battles major health issues.
