THURSDAY Prayer Guide

“Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:15-16 NIV

Justin Smith, Minister to College Students

  • Please pray this verse for Justin: “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24 NIV
  • Please pray for “Avenue on Campus” August 18 as our staff will be on the college campuses that day. We are praying for all of the freshmen that will be coming to Waco in August and have set a goal to meet and follow up with 1000 Freshman during the first week of classes, so please continue to pray that God begins to appoint those meetings for us ahead of time. Praise for the birth of Justin and Rebecca’s son, Shepherd Christopher born last month!

Neighbors International Program

  • Praise for safe arrival for Laura Joseph (one of our English teachers) in the Phillipines with her family and dog. Now if the rain stops for a while, they can get settled. They will be serving there.
  • Neighbors International prep for the new year is in full swing. Pray for all workers and planning and especially for our students. We still need someone with some sewing skills to help with a fabric arts class and really need some English substitute teachers. Pray for our students who are traveling to and from their home countries.

“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” Colossians 1:28 NIV

Prayer with the Pastor

  • Join Pastor Josh and others as we gather together at Noon in the Chapel on the third Thursday of the month to pray for our church, our city, our neighbors and our nation.
  • Come for the whole hour or even part of the time to be an intercessor!
  • Let’s be in prayer for God to begin preparing our church and each of us as individuals for revival!
  • In Isaiah 56:7b, God promises to “give them joy in my house of prayer.” Let’s make CABC a house of prayer!

Senior Adult Committee, Harry Lampert, Chairman

  •  Please keep our committee in your prayers as it continues to work on the schedule of events for the 2018-19 fiscal year. We are seeking God's guidance and wisdom as we strive to provide programs and events that will offer our senior community opportunities for worship and praise to our Lord and Savior.

  •  Please pray for Bill & Paula Hayward and family on the recent loss of their daughter Rebecca Helene Hayward Dorio. Please continue to pray for Paula Hayward as she continues to battle major health issues.
