THURSDAY Prayer Guide

“We wait for Yahweh; He is our help and shield. For our hearts rejoice in Him because we trust in His holy name. May Your faithful love rest on us, Yahweh, for we put our hope in You.” Psalm 33:20-22 HCSB

Justin Smith, Minister to College Students

  • Please pray this  verse for Justin: “I will triumph in Yahweh; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation! Yahweh my Lord is my strength…” Habakkuk 3:18 HCSB
  • We are praising God and thanking Him for answered prayer this month! We have prayed all year that God would raise up students to be leaders and that we would see more Community Groups planted next year. Now that leadership applications are in, we know that we will DOUBLE the size of our leadership team next year, which means we will DOUBLE the amount of Community Groups.
  • God is doing something through college students at our church. We are excited to be a part of it!

Neighbors International Program

  • Requests:  Our most pressing need is for a volunteer to help with one preschooler who needs individual attention in our childcare room. We could use more than one worker. We have about 70 children enrolled but less than half those attend on a Thursday.
  • We’re in a busy season with International banquet and Sunday activities, End of Year promotions, growing number of students, planning for Bible School the first week of June and finding workers for next year. Please pray for leadership needs and planning. Anyone wanting information can call Carolyn Dodson at 717-6340.

“You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures.” Psalm 16:11 HCSB

Prayer with the Pastor

  • Join Pastor Josh and others as we gather together at Noon in the Chapel (note change of location) to pray for our church, our city, our neighbors and our nation.
  • Come for the whole hour or even part of the time to be an intercessor!
  • Let’s be in prayer for God to begin preparing our church and each of us as individuals for revival!
  • In Isaiah 56:7b, God promises to “give them joy in my house of prayer.” Let’s make CABC a house of prayer!

Senior Adult Committee, Harry Lampert, Chairman

  •   We are so thankful for the fellowship, fun, and good food we shared at the recent Game Night. The event was a great success (32 in attendance).

  •   Please pray for the Senior Adult Spring Banquet (6:00 pm, Tuesday, April 17) that this event will be an opportunity for fellowship and a time of worship and inspiration for all who attend.

  •   Please continue to pray for Pat Hensley. She has had a recent setback that required a stay in the Intensive Care Unit at Providence. She was released Sunday (3/18) afternoon and is home trying to regain strength. We pray that through God’s healing presence she will continue to improve.
