THURSDAY Prayer Guide

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For Yahweh is good, and His love is eternal; His faithfulness endures through all generations.”  Psalm 100:4-5 HCSB

Justin Smith, Minister to College Students

  • Please pray this  verse for Justin:“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”  Ephesians 6:10
  • Many of our Baylor students are new members of sororities and fraternities and are in the middle of Sing season. Pray they would enjoy themselves in the Sing experience while also remembering what’s really important and continue to invest in their growth as a disciple.
  • We are also praying that God would provide the Community Group Host Homes we will be needing next year. We have a lot of freshman who will start new Community Groups next year so we want to see adults jump on board with us!

Neighbors International Program

  • Praise: One of our long-time student’s husband finally got a job and they are moving to New York with their 4 preschoolers. Pray for that to go smoothly.
  • Requests: Pray for those workers and students out sick. Also, pray for students to return soon – cold weather and holidays have kept many home. Pray for several students who are in crisis now with family issues. Pray for another child care worker (paid or volunteer) on Thursdays as we have over 65 children enrolled (which is a praise as well!). Also, pray for the planning of an early VBS, International Sunday and other spring activities.

“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29:12 HCSB

Prayer with the Pastor

  • Join Pastor Josh and others as we gather together at Noon in the Chapel (note change of location) to pray for our church, our city, our neighbors and our nation.
  • Come for the whole hour or even part of the time to be an intercessor!
  • Let’s be in prayer for God to begin preparing our church and each of us as individuals for revival!
  • In Isaiah 56:7b, God promises to “give them joy in my house of prayer.” Let’s make CABC a house of prayer!

Senior Adult Committee, Harry Lampert, Chairman

  •  Praise for the Senior Adult Bible Study/Conference held on January 22-23. We were so blessed by Dr. Gloer’s messages from the Gospel of Luke titled “Kingdom Vision: Luke’s Stories of Jesus.” Plan to attend the next Game Day, Tuesday, February 20th.

  •  Please pray for those in the CABC senior community who are suffering from the flu, colds, pneumonia and other respiratory illnesses. So many in our community are in need of God’s healing hand to heal and strengthen them during this season.

  •  We ask for continued prayer for Pat Hensley. While she has made some improvement, she remains seriously ill.  We pray that through God’s healing presence she will continue to improve and regain strength and energy.
