TUESDAY Prayer Guide

“I assure you: Anything you ask the Father in My name, he will give you. Until now you have asked for nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.”  John 16: 23-24 HCSB

Danny Walker, Executive Pastor

  • Please pray this verse for Danny: “Let him trust in the name of YAHWEH; let him lean on his God.” Isaiah 50:10c HCSB

  • Please be in prayer for the many parts of our church family who are engaged in camps, mission trips, outreach events, retreats and other Columbus Avenue activities that begin this month. We pray for safe travels for all of our folks and for a powerful moving of the Holy Spirit to challenge, to give peace, to give direction and to simply provide an intimacy with Christ during these busy times.
  • Thank you for the prayers for my brother Andrew’s open heart surgery. He is back to work and feeling really good. He was greatly impressed that you would pray for him without ever having met him.

  • Pray for direction and wisdom as we re-evaluate our Sunday School ministry purposes, training, and equipping so that we might be everything that Christ has commanded.

Staff Meeting

  • Pray that the staff will clearly receive God's vision and direction in all decisions and ministries.
  • Pray for guidance as they plan for the future and implement changes as needed.
  • Thank You, Lord, for each of these You have called to serve at CABC!
  • Pray that we will love and support each of our staff members in their area of ministry.

“Therefore I, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, accepting one another in love, diligently keeping the unity of the Spirit with the peace that binds us.”  Ephesians 4:1 HCSB

Homebound Ministry, Pat Hensley

  • Please pray for our faithful long-term volunteers who continue to keep in touch with our homebound members. We ask for these homebound members to be covered in prayer every day as they have many needs.
  • Thank You, Lord, for each volunteer.  Pray that others will feel led to volunteer for the homebound ministry as we have several members confined to their home or care facility not being served.
  • Pray for those who are homebound that they will know that they are loved – by us but, especially by their Lord!
  • Pray that we will be aware of and  be able to serve and minister to each of our homebound members!

 Anne Broaddus, Kid's Hope

  • Please pray God brings more KH mentors - and more substitute mentors - for the 2017-18 school year.

  • Praise for the great weather and joy-filled time at our EOY mentor/student celebration!

  • Praise for the prayer time we had in the Brook Avenue hallways on May 7. What a beautiful time of intercession wrapped in the love of God for the children. Thank you for coming and for praying!

  • Pray that students' desire to learn grows over the summer and pray children have adequate care and food, and experience joy-filled times.

  • Pray for our KH Book Nook at Brook, Mon-Thurs, June-August, which gives the children access to hundreds of books during the school’s free summer lunch times. Pray many children will access the food and check out books!

  • Pray for mentors as they recharge and prepare for another year of mentoring. Praise and thank God for each of them as well as the others He is preparing to join us this fall.

  • Pray for God to pave the way for more relationships to develop between Columbus Ave and Brook Ave adults. Pray we as a church greet all who walk into our midst with open hearts and arms as we reflect the love and grace of the Lord Jesus.
