TUESDAY Prayer Guide

“Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:15-16 NIV

Danny Walker, Executive Pastor

  • Please pray this verse for Danny: “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24 NIV

  • Please pray that we would do our best to get every lost person in Waco to Columbus Avenue so that they can see and hear what Jesus has done for them.
  • We offer a prayer of thanks for the renovation progress on our campus and for the generosity of our church family and others who have seen the importance of renewing inside so that we can reach outside.

  • Please pray for Danny’s dad and Lorrie’s mom who are experiencing serious Alzheimer’s and dementia challenges requiring both families to find placement for them in care facilities. They each live in different cities in Oklahoma.

Staff Meeting

  • Pray that the staff will clearly receive God's vision and direction in all decisions and ministries.
  • Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance as the first phase of Facilities 2025 moves forward.
  • Pray that they will be able to handle the extra work load without getting overwhelmed.
  • Thank You, Lord, for each of these You have called to serve at CABC!
  • Pray that we will love and support each of our staff members in their area of ministry.

“Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.” Romans 12:12 HCSB

Outreach Ministry

  • Pray that the visitors for the Outreach Ministry will be disciplined to make visits faithfully. We continue to need more volunteers to visit people who can't come to church or who might need some encouragement. Pray for new leadership to step forward to lead this important ministry.

 Anne Broaddus, Kid's Hope

  • Continue praying for Transformation Waco members who now lead Brook Ave, Indian Springs and Carver where we have KH students and mentors. Pray for our new Brook Ave Principal Julie Sapaugh. Pray for teachers who begin on August 9. Pray for students who begin classes on August 21. May God move in mighty ways among the students, staff and mentors as we begin a new year!
  • Thank God in advance for adults He is preparing to become Kids Hope mentors and substitute mentors who will invest in the lives of at-risk children. Pray God is preparing the children who most need a mentor.
  • Pray we continue to meet, walk alongside and love more families in the Brook Ave neighborhood. And pray the fruit of mentors’ lives multiplies for generations to come.

“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’” Matthew 9:37-38 NIV
